    If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Tigre. Head south on Avenida Liniers toward Ruta 197. Merge onto Ruta 197 and continue until you reach the junction to the Autopista Panamericana. Take the Autopista Panamericana towards Buenos Aires. After approximately 30 km, take exit 19 toward Av. General Paz. Merge onto Av. General Paz and continue until you reach the junction with Avenida del Libertador. Take Avenida del Libertador towards the city center. Follow signs to San Telmo, and turn onto Defensa Street. The museum will be located at Defensa 1600, Buenos Aires. Be aware that you may incur toll costs along the routes.

  • Public Transportation - Train

    To reach Museo Histórico Nacional by public transportation, start at Tigre train station. Board the Mitre Line train (Tren de la Costa) towards Retiro. After approximately 50 minutes, disembark at the Retiro station. From Retiro, you can take a taxi or a bus to San Telmo. If you prefer to use public transport, look for bus numbers 10 or 29 which go towards San Telmo. Get off at Defensa Street, and the museum will be a short walk from the bus stop at Defensa 1600. The entire journey will cost you the train fare (around ARS 50) plus the bus or taxi fare.

    If you prefer to travel directly by bus, you can take the bus number 720 from Tigre to Buenos Aires. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop in Tigre heading to the city center. The bus will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Buenos Aires, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to Defensa 1600, where the museum is located. The bus fare is around ARS 70.
