Car
Start by heading south on Av. 12 de Octubre from the center of Villa La Angostura. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 40. Turn left onto Route 40 and follow the signs for Bariloche. After approximately 8 kilometers (about 5 miles), look for a sign indicating Mirador Puerto Arauco. Turn right onto the access road and follow it for about 1 kilometer until you reach the parking area for the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
From the main bus terminal in Villa La Angostura, take a bus heading towards Bariloche. Make sure to ask the driver if they stop at the Mirador Puerto Arauco, as not all buses may stop there. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop near the viewpoint, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer along the access road to reach the viewpoint itself.
Walking
If you find yourself within walking distance of the viewpoint, you can take a scenic route. Head towards Av. 12 de Octubre and follow it south until you connect with Route 40. Once on Route 40, follow the road for about 8 kilometers until you see the sign for Mirador Puerto Arauco. From there, walk along the access road for approximately 1 kilometer to reach the viewpoint. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
