Sitgreaves Pass: A Thrilling Drive Through History

Sitgreaves Pass, a historic mountain pass along Route 66 in Arizona, offers a thrilling journey through stunning landscapes and a bygone era. Originally part of Beale's Wagon Road, the pass was initially named John Howells Pass in 1857. It was later renamed in 1858 for Captain Lorenzo Sitgreaves, though his expedition never actually crossed it.
