Getting There

  • Driving

    From Page, Arizona, head southeast on Highway 89 for approximately 5 miles. Look for the well-marked turnoff for Horseshoe Bend on the west side of the road, between mile markers 544 and 545. Follow the road a short distance to the parking area. Parking costs $10 per vehicle. Be aware that there is no parking allowed along Highway 89, and the city prohibits passenger drop-offs along the highway.

  • Walking

    From the parking lot, follow the 0.75-mile (1.5-mile round trip) trail to the Horseshoe Bend overlook. The trail is mostly flat but sandy in places. There are two shade structures along the trail, but none at the overlook itself. The overlook has a fenced viewing area, but caution is advised if venturing beyond the fence. Remember to bring water and sun protection.
