From there, head south on the main park road (Petrified Forest Road) for about 7.5 miles. Look for the marked signs for Chinde Point. The turn-off will be to the right, and you will enter a small parking area. Park your vehicle here. Chinde Point is a short, approximately 0.3-mile hike from the parking area. Follow the well-marked trail to the overlook.
