Take Route 72 (McDowell Road) heading east towards the Scottsdale Airport. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer to Route 185 at the Scottsdale Airport stop, which will take you towards Fort McDowell. Continue on Route 185 until you reach the nearest stop to the park. From there, you may need to walk about 15 minutes to arrive at the park entrance.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Scottsdale. Head east on McDowell Road towards the McDowell Mountain Park Drive. Follow McDowell Road until you reach the park entrance, which is approximately a 10-mile ride. Make sure to stay on designated bike lanes where available for safety.

    If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore the area, you can set off on foot from your location in Scottsdale. Make your way towards the east side of the city, heading toward McDowell Road. Once you reach McDowell Road, continue walking east until you find McDowell Mountain Park Drive. The park entrance is located at 16300 McDowell Mountain Park Dr, Fort McDowell, AZ 85264. Please note that this will be a long walk, around 10-12 miles, so be prepared with plenty of water and a good pair of walking shoes.
