Walking
If you are in the center of Sedona, start your journey at the Sedona Visitor Center located at 331 Forest Rd. From there, head east on Forest Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the junction with AZ-89A. Turn left onto AZ-89A and continue for approximately 4.5 miles. You will see signs for Mingus Mountain. Keep an eye out for the Mingus Mountain lookout area on your right. The trailhead is accessible from the parking area.
Biking
Rent a bike from one of the local shops in Sedona, such as Sedona Bike & Bean. Start at the bike shop and head south on AZ-89A for about 4 miles. Keep a lookout for the Mingus Mountain signs. You may need to navigate through some trails, so consider using a map application on your phone for the best biking routes. The ride will take you through beautiful scenery, and once you reach the Mingus Mountain area, you can park your bike and explore the trails.
Public Transit (Bus)
Check the local bus schedule for the Verde Lynx bus service. Take the bus route that goes towards Cottonwood, and get off at the nearest stop that services Mingus Mountain. This may require transferring buses, so confirm the latest schedules and routes at the Sedona Visitor Center. Once you arrive at the stop, follow the walking path signs towards the Mingus Mountain trailhead, which should be a short walk from the bus stop.
