Hiking
From the Sedona Visitor Center located at 331 Forest Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336, head north on Forest Rd toward AZ-89A. Cross the street and take the path that leads to the trailhead for the Broken Arrow Trail. This trail is about 2.5 miles long and is rated as moderate. Follow the trail signs towards Chicken Point Overlook. The trail is well-marked, and you will encounter stunning red rock views along the way. It typically takes about 1-2 hours to reach the overlook, depending on your pace. Once at Chicken Point Overlook, enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Mountain Biking
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a mountain bike from one of the local shops in Sedona. Start at the Sedona Visitor Center and follow the same route as the hiking path. The Broken Arrow Trail is also accessible for mountain biking, offering a thrilling ride through the red rock formations. Follow the trail signs to Chicken Point Overlook, and be cautious of the rocky terrain. The biking journey may take around 30-60 minutes, depending on your skill level.
Public Transport and Hiking
Take the Sedona Shuttle from various locations in Sedona to the nearest stop for the Broken Arrow Trail. Once you disembark, follow the signs to the trailhead. This option may require planning ahead based on the shuttle schedule. After getting off the shuttle, you will walk approximately half a mile to reach the trailhead. From there, follow the hiking trail to Chicken Point Overlook as previously described.
