    If you are starting from downtown Little Rock, head east on West Markham Street toward South Broadway Street. Continue straight as West Markham Street becomes East Markham Street. After about 1 mile, turn left onto South Main Street. Walk for another 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with the Arkansas River Trail. Turn right to follow the trail along the river, which will lead you towards the Big Dam Bridge. Follow the trail for approximately 1.5 miles, and you will see the bridge ahead. The total walking distance is about 2.8 miles.

    For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in downtown Little Rock. Start at the River Market area and take the Arkansas River Trail heading east.
