The USS Razorback (SS-394) offers a fascinating glimpse into naval history. This Balao-class submarine served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1970, participating in the final years of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Visitors can explore the interior of the Razorback, experiencing the cramped living quarters, the control room, and the torpedo rooms. The Razorback earned two battle stars for its service in World War II and four battle stars for its service in the Vietnam War. After its U.S. Navy service, it was transferred to the Turkish Navy, where it served as the TCG Muratreis (S-336) until its decommissioning in 2001. It was then acquired by the city of North Little Rock and opened as a museum ship in 2005.
