From Highway 71, take the exit for AR-74 and head east. Continue on AR-74 for approximately 5 miles. Fossil Flats Trailhead will be on your left side. Look for the trailhead sign and a small parking area beside it.

  If you are relying on public transportation, it is recommended to first reach the city of Fayetteville, Arkansas, which is the nearest larger city with bus services. You can take a bus to Fayetteville from various locations.
