Railyard Park: Rogers' Downtown Hub

Railyard Park, located in the heart of downtown Rogers, Arkansas, is a dynamic public space that breathes new life into the city's historic railway district. Designed by Ross Barney Architects, the park repurposes land that was once central to the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad (Frisco), which shaped Rogers' early development. The park's design embraces this history, incorporating railroad elements into a modern community square. The park features a variety of attractions, including the Butterfield Stage, an outdoor venue that hosts concerts and events throughout the year. Frisco Plaza provides green space and trees, while the Water Yard offers a splash park with water features that reference the site's past as a water stop for steam trains. Children can enjoy the Play Yard, which incorporates an old Mi-Jack plane, further tying into the railroad theme. Railyard Park is designed as a series of flexible plazas that can be transformed for different uses, making it a versatile space for community gatherings.
