Walking
From the center of Alaverdi, head south on Haghpat Street towards the main road (Teghut Road). Turn left onto Teghut Road and continue straight for about 2 kilometers. Look for signs that direct you to Teghut village. As you approach Teghut, keep an eye out for the Haghartsin Monastery signs. The monastery is located just off the main road, and you will see a path leading towards it. Follow the path, and you will arrive at Haghartsin Monastery.
Public Transport
From Alaverdi, find the nearest bus stop on the main road. Take a bus heading towards Teghut. Buses run approximately every hour, so make sure to check the schedule. Once you arrive at Teghut, get off at the main stop. From there, you can either walk or ask locals for directions to Haghartsin Monastery. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop, following the signs towards the monastery.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle in Alaverdi. Start by cycling south on Haghpat Street, then merge onto Teghut Road. The ride to Teghut is approximately 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs to Haghartsin Monastery as you approach Teghut. Once you reach the signs, lock your bicycle at the base and follow the path leading to the monastery.
