Walking
Start from the center of Alaverdi, specifically near the Alaverdi Central Park. Head east on Abovyan Street. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers (around 20-25 minutes). You will pass by local shops and cafes along the way. Once you reach the main road intersection, keep going straight; you will see signs for Matosavank Monastery. Follow the signs, and you will eventually see the monastery on your left side.
Public Transportation
From the center of Alaverdi, look for a local minibus (marshrutka) heading towards the direction of the monastery. Board the minibus, and inform the driver that you want to get off at Matosavank. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you get off, the monastery will be a short walk from the drop-off point. Follow the dirt road leading up the hill to reach Matosavank Monastery.
