The Manukyan Brandy Factory, established in 2015, is located in the Kotayk region of Armenia, near the Yerevan-Sevan highway. The factory combines modern European equipment with time-honored Armenian winemaking traditions. Founder Melik Manukyan, who also established a glass container factory in 1989, envisioned the brandy factory as a continuation of his legacy.Visitors can explore the vineyards, which cultivate both native Armenian and European grape varieties such as Areni Noir, Voskeat, Kangun, and Cabernet Franc. The factory incorporates ancient winemaking techniques, including fermentation in soil-dug amphoras and the traditional Kakhani method, alongside modern steel tanks for precise fermentation control. The wine cellars, carved into the rock, provide optimal conditions for aging wines in Armenian, French, and American oak barrels. These barrels impart flavors like vanilla, toast, and spice to the wines.The factory offers tours that cover the production facilities, aging cellars, and the Anamor Fortress. Visitors can witness the distillation process and enjoy tastings of Bibliotheca wines. The location also provides event space for special occasions.
