Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Lake Sevan. Head southeast on the M4 road for about 10 kilometers. Follow the signs towards Sevanavank (Sevan Monastery). Once you reach the top of the hill, you will find the parking area near the monastery. You may need to pay a small parking fee, typically around 500 AMD (Armenian Dram). The views from the monastery are stunning, so take your time to explore the area.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a local bus or minibus (marshrutka) from the main bus station in Sevan, which is close to the lake. Look for buses heading towards Sevanavank. The ride takes approximately 20-30 minutes and costs around 200-300 AMD. Once you arrive at the Sevanavank stop, follow the path uphill to the monastery. Be aware that buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance.
Walking
If you are near the lake and prefer to walk, you can hike from the lakeshore to the Sevan Monastery. The walk is about 2 kilometers uphill from the lake, taking approximately 30-45 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the path can be steep in places. Enjoy the scenery along the way!
