If you're driving, head south from Lori Highlands on the M3 highway. Follow the signs for Garni and Geghard Monastery. After about 30 minutes, you'll reach a junction; take a right onto the road leading to Geghard. Continue for about 10 minutes until you see signs for Geghard Monastery. There is parking available near the entrance, which is free.

To reach Geghard Monastery via public transportation, take a minibus (marshrutka) from Vanadzor to Garni. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Garni, transfer to another marshrutka heading to Geghard Monastery. This leg of the trip will take about 10-15 minutes. Be sure to check the schedule as marshrutkas may not run frequently. The total cost for the journey will be around 500-800 AMD ($1-2).
