    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Mount Aragats. Head north on the main road towards Byurakan. Continue driving for about 30 minutes, following the signs for Byurakan. You will eventually see signs for the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory as you approach the town. The observatory is located at coordinates 40.3293° N, 44.2682° E, specifically at the address 87JF+49, Byurakan 0213. There is parking available on-site.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a minibus (marshrutka) from Yerevan to Byurakan. The marshrutkas leave from the northern bus station in Yerevan. Once you reach Byurakan, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or take a taxi to the observatory. The taxi ride should cost around 1,000 AMD (about $2.50). Make sure to ask the driver to take you to the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory at 87JF+49.
