Car
If you are driving from Kapan, take the E117 highway heading east. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will reach the turnoff for Halidzor village. Follow the signs to Halidzor, which is about 5 kilometers from the highway. Once in Halidzor, look for signs directing you to the fortress. The road may be somewhat narrow and winding, so drive carefully. Parking is available near the entrance to the fortress.

Public Transportation
From Kapan, you can take a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Halidzor. Marshrutkas leave from the main bus station in Kapan and the fare is typically around 300 AMD. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Halidzor, you can walk to the fortress, which is approximately a 20-minute hike uphill from the village. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear as the path can be steep and uneven.

If you prefer to hike, you can start your journey from Kapan. This will be a longer trek, taking approximately 2-3 hours. Begin by heading towards Halidzor village via the trail that runs parallel to the E117 highway. As you approach Halidzor, follow the marked paths leading to the fortress. Make sure to bring water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the way.
