Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Tavush Rock Lake via public transport, head to the bus station in Ijevan. Look for a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Hovk. The ride should take around 30 minutes and cost approximately 200 AMD. Once you arrive in Hovk, you may need to walk about 3 km to the lake. Ask locals for directions to Lake Qari as it may not be well signposted.

  • Walking

    If you're already in Hovk and prefer to walk, start from the village center and head towards the eastern edge of the village. Follow the dirt road leading towards the forest; it should take about 30-40 minutes on foot to reach the lake. Enjoy the picturesque scenery along the way !

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the center of Ijevan, the capital of Tavush. Take the H-27 highway towards Hovk village. After approximately 12 km, you will reach Hovk. Once in Hovk, look for signage pointing to Lake Qari. The lake is about 3 km from the village center. You may need to park your car in a designated area and walk the remaining distance to reach the lake.
