Walking
From the center of Vayk, head east on the main road (Yerevan-Vayk road). Walk for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Geghard Monastery. Turn left at the intersection onto the road towards Geghard. Continue straight for about 6 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views. You will eventually see signs for Geghard Monastery. Follow the signs, and after another 1 kilometer, you will arrive at the monastery entrance.
Public Transport
From Vayk, find the local minibus (marshrutka) station. Look for a minibus heading towards Garni or Yerevan, as they often pass by Geghard. Board the minibus and inform the driver you want to get off at Geghard Monastery. The ride will be around 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the stop for Geghard, disembark and follow the signs for the monastery, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the minibus stop.
