Discover more about Momik WineCube

Nestled in the village of Areni, in the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, Momik WineCube provides an authentic and immersive experience into Armenian wine culture. This family-owned winery, named in honor of the 13th-century architect and sculptor Momik, offers visitors a unique opportunity to taste wine directly in the vineyards where the grapes are grown. Momik WineCube is more than just a winery; it's a celebration of Armenian heritage. The innovative WineCube tasting room sits in the heart of the vineyard, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the nearby Noravank Monastery, which Momik himself designed. Visitors can sample Momik's wines, made from endemic Areni grapes, alongside locally sourced food. The winery grew out of the OneArmenia Farm-To-Bottle program, which supports local grape growers in creating their own wine brands. Nver Ghazaryan and his wife Narine Mktchyan, the owners of Momik, previously sold their grapes to larger wineries. With the help of the program, they now produce their own wine, offering a taste of Armenian terroir directly to visitors. In addition to wine tastings, Momik WineCube hosts cultural events, including art exhibitions, music performances, and educational workshops. It's a place where visitors can learn about the winemaking process, from grape to glass, and experience the rich cultural heritage of Armenia.
