Getting There

  • Driving

    The Aruba Ostrich Farm is located off the main road to the Natural Bridge, on the northern side of the island. From the hotel area in Palm Beach, it's approximately a 15-minute drive. Parking is free. Be aware that the road leading to the farm is not in the best condition.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Aruba, but there is no taxi app. You can hail a taxi from most hotels or tourist areas. A taxi from the Palm Beach hotel area to the Aruba Ostrich Farm will cost approximately $30 - $45. Agree on the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Note that there may be a surcharge of $3 on Sundays, official holidays, or between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

  • Public Transport

    While public transportation to the Aruba Ostrich Farm is limited, Arubus, the island's bus service, does have routes that pass near Paradera. From the central bus station in Oranjestad, take a bus towards San Nicolas and ask the driver for the closest stop to the Ostrich Farm. From there, it may be necessary to take a taxi for the final leg of the journey. A single bus fare is $2.60, a round trip is $5.00, and a day pass is $10. Bus service is available every 15 minutes from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM, and every 40 minutes until 11:30 PM.

The Aruba Ostrich Farm, located in Paradera, provides a memorable and unique experience, allowing visitors to connect with nature and wildlife. More than 80 farm animals, including both ostriches and emus, call the farm home. Visitors are encouraged to partake in a guided tour of the farm, where they can get up close to the ostriches and emus. During the tour, you'll learn about their amazing speed, defense mechanisms, mating rituals, rearing practices, and feeding habits. You might even get the opportunity to hand-feed these not-so-shy creatures. Be mindful, as ostriches are always hungry and may surround you if you have food. The tour concludes with a visit to the incubator, hatchery, and special pens for young ostriches and emus. Before or after the tour, guests can browse the Art Shop, which is full of authentic goods from Zimbabwe and a collection of local art and crafts. You can also relax in the shade of the Savanna Lodge Bar & Restaurant and sample a home-cooked meal while enjoying panoramic views of the island's northern coast.
