Public Transport
From the cruise terminal or central Oranjestad, the Arubus is a convenient option. The central bus station is located next to the cruise terminal. Arubus provides daily service along the hotel strip and to other island destinations. Buses run every 15 minutes from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM, then every 40 minutes until 11:30 PM. A return ticket costs $5.00 USD (Afl 8.75). Look for the visible sign on the side of the bus indicating its route.

Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Oranjestad, especially at the airport, cruise terminal, major hotels, and popular beaches. A taxi from the airport to Oranjestad costs approximately $21 USD. Taxis in Aruba do not use meters; fares are fixed by the Department of Public Transportation. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Note that there is a $3 surcharge on Sundays, official holidays, and between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
