Discover more about Sero Colorado Lighthouse

Sero Colorado Lighthouse, also called Colorado Point Lighthouse, is perched on the southeasternmost point of Aruba. The original lighthouse, constructed in 1881 from stone and wood, has been replaced with a metal structure. The lighthouse continues to be active, warning maritime traffic of the nearby reefs. While the lighthouse itself is not open for tours, the surrounding area offers a unique and quiet experience. Visitors can explore the rugged coastline, characterized by rough igneous rock and scattered cacti. From Colorado Point, Venezuela can be seen on a clear day. The area holds historical significance, with remnants of military defense zones and bunkers used by American soldiers during World War II to protect the oil refinery that was once located nearby. Around Colorado Point, you can also find the Sero Colorado Anchor, painted red, which is a point of interest to tourists because of its size, location, and history.
