Car
From Queen Beatrix International Airport, take Route 1 (L.G. Smith Boulevard) southeast towards San Nicolaas. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the intersection with Route 4 in Pos Chiquito. Turn left onto Route 4. Drive a short distance and look for the Balashi Gold Mill Ruins on your left. Park in the designated parking area, which is free. From the parking area, follow the marked trail to Spanish Lagoon. Note that parking can be limited during peak hours.
Public Transport
From Oranjestad, take a bus towards San Nicolaas. Ask the driver to disembark at Pos Chiquito, near the intersection of Route 1 and Route 4. From there, it is approximately a 30-minute walk to the Balashi Gold Mill Ruins and the Spanish Lagoon. Alternatively, from the Oranjestad bus terminal, take a taxi or ride-sharing service to the Balashi Gold Mill Ruins, which should cost approximately $10-15. From the Mill Ruins, follow the designated walking trail to Spanish Lagoon. A single bus fare is approximately $2.60.
