Discover more about Dos Playa

Dos Playa, meaning 'Two Beaches,' is a true hidden gem located within the Arikok National Park on Aruba's northeast coast. This secluded location features two adjacent coves, each with its own narrow beach, separated by limestone cliffs. The ever-changing landscape is sculpted by strong northeastern trade winds, creating a dramatic and picturesque setting. Dos Playa distinguishes itself from Aruba's calmer, turquoise-watered beaches, offering a wilder, more rugged coastal experience. It's a favorite spot for experienced surfers and bodyboarders who come to challenge the consistent swells and powerful waves. However, due to the strong currents and rough seas, swimming is generally not recommended for inexperienced swimmers. Beyond surfing, Dos Playa provides a serene natural retreat. The expansive white-sand shoreline is perfect for sunbathing, while the shade offered by the rock formations provides a cool escape from the sun. The beach is also an important nesting area for sea turtles, so visitors may spot turtle tracks during nesting season. As part of Arikok National Park, a visit to Dos Playa can be combined with exploring other natural wonders such as the sand dunes of Boca Prins, Fontein Cave, and Quadirikiri Cave.
