Erected in her honor in 1955, the park serves as a reminder of Aruba's historical ties to the Dutch monarchy. In addition to the statue of Queen Wilhelmina, the park also features a statue of Anne Frank, symbolizing tolerance. The Anne Frank statue depicts a little girl looking skyward with her wrists bound and was dedicated in 2011.Visitors can enjoy the natural grass turf, abundant shade from numerous trees, and sightings of green iguanas and brown pelicans. The park is an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll while enjoying the gentle sea breeze.
