Queen Wilhelmina Park, located in the heart of Oranjestad, Aruba, is a beautifully maintained green space offering a serene retreat from the bustling city. This four-acre urban oasis, lush with manicured tropical gardens, is situated alongside the Renaissance Hotel property on L.G. Smith Boulevard.The park features a stone footpath and a raised marble platform crowned with a white statue of Queen Wilhelmina, who reigned over the Netherlands and Aruba for nearly six decades. Erected in her honor in 1955, the park serves as a reminder of Aruba's historical ties to the Dutch monarchy. In addition to the statue of Queen Wilhelmina, the park also features a statue of Anne Frank, symbolizing tolerance. The Anne Frank statue depicts a little girl looking skyward with her wrists bound and was dedicated in 2011.Visitors can enjoy the natural grass turf, abundant shade from numerous trees, and sightings of green iguanas and brown pelicans. The park is an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll while enjoying the gentle sea breeze. A well-designed pedestrian pathway winds along the Caribbean Sea, extending from Queen Wilhelmina Park to Renaissance Beach and the boat harbor.
