Cleland Wildlife Park, located a short 20-minute drive from Adelaide city center in the Adelaide Hills, provides a unique opportunity to encounter Australian wildlife in a natural environment. Established in 1967, the park spans 35 hectares and is home to over 130 species of native animals. What sets Cleland apart is its immersive nature experience. Many of the animals, including kangaroos, wallabies, potoroos, and emus, roam freely within the park, allowing visitors to wander and interact with them. This provides incredible opportunities to feed, pet, and photograph these iconic creatures in a natural setting. Visitors can also observe animals such as koalas, wombats, Tasmanian devils, dingoes, and various native birds and reptiles. Keeper talks and feeding times offer insights into the animals' behaviors and conservation efforts. The Ocean to Outback Interpretive Centre provides further educational opportunities. For those seeking a more exclusive experience, Cleland offers options such as Breakfast with the Birds and night walks to observe nocturnal animals. Cleland Wildlife Park plays a vital role in conservation and wildlife rehabilitation. It's committed to providing a sustainable environment for its animals and educating visitors about the importance of conservation.
