Discover more about Windy Point Lookout

Windy Point Lookout, located just 15 minutes from Adelaide's city center in the suburb of Belair, provides an unparalleled vantage point to experience the beauty of South Australia. From this elevated position in the Adelaide Hills, visitors are treated to sweeping panoramic views that encompass the entire city, the coastline stretching out to the Gulf St Vincent, and the rolling hills. Originally, the site was simply a car park with a small kiosk in the 1950s, but it was still known as the best spot for uninterrupted views of Adelaide. In October 1982, Windy Point as it is known today was established. The lookout is easily accessible by car, with ample parking available, making it a favorite destination for both tourists and the local community. The site is particularly popular at sunset, when the city lights begin to twinkle and the sky is painted with vibrant colors. Windy Point is more than just a scenic viewpoint; it's a place to pause, reflect, and connect with the natural beauty of the region. Whether you're seeking a romantic spot for a first kiss, a place to capture stunning photographs, or simply a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, Windy Point Lookout offers an unforgettable experience.
