Windy Point Lookout is accessible by car via Belair Road. From the Adelaide city center, follow Belair Road for approximately 15 minutes. The entrance to the lookout and car park is located where Kalyra Road meets Belair Road. Parking is free. Be aware that the Windy Point Lookout carpark is closed to the public after the Tour Down Under from Thursday, 23 January 2025, for the duration of the maintenance works.

Several bus routes stop near Windy Point Lookout on Belair Road. From the city center, take bus routes 195, 195F, 196, 673, or 892. Alight at Stop 22 Belair Rd (north-west side) or Stop 22 Belair Rd (south-east side), which are a short walk to the lookout. A single-trip MetroCard fare is around $4.20 during peak hours and $2.46 during off-peak hours.
