From the Alice Springs Telegraph Station, head south on the Stuart Highway for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Herbert Heritage Drive. Turn left onto Herbert Heritage Drive and continue for about 1 kilometer. You will find the Eastern End of the Larapinta Trail on your right, just past the intersection with Larapinta Drive.

Take the 'Alice Springs Bus' from the main bus terminal located on Hartley Street. Board the bus that heads towards 'Stuart' and get off at the stop near the intersection of Stuart Highway and Herbert Heritage Drive. From there, walk south along Herbert Heritage Drive for about 1 kilometer to reach the Eastern End of the Larapinta Trail on your right.
