Discover more about Moorooroo Park Vineyards

Moorooroo Park Vineyards is a family-owned winery located in the picturesque Krondorf region of the Barossa Valley, South Australia. The winery is the proud custodian of a historic Barossa stone settlement, featuring the 160-year-old Silentium Cellar, once the winery and wheat shed of the Nitschke family. The cellar's old stone craftsmanship, exposed wooden beams, and low ceilings create an intimate space for visitors to unwind and enjoy the wines. Moorooroo Park Vineyards specializes in handcrafted, organically grown, small-batch wines, available exclusively at their cellar door. Winemaker Wyndham House, drawing on his experience as a trained chef, crafts bold Barossa-style reds. Visitors can explore the range of wines through tastings, and enjoy local cheeses. The property also features a breathtaking David Austen rose garden and a picturesque creek, inviting guests to stroll and soak in the scenery. Wyndham and Patricia House, with a background in hospitality and a passion for organic produce, purchased the historic stone settlement on Nitschke Road in 1995. They restored the property, opening Jacob's Creek Retreat before focusing on winemaking under the Moorooroo Park Vineyards label, with the first vintage in 2004. Today, Wyndham and Patricia, along with their daughters, continue to create unique red wines from their iconic cellars. Moorooroo Park Vineyards is known for its sustainable farming practices and commitment to producing high-quality, characterful wines.
