Old Government House is located in Brisbane's CBD, adjacent to the City Botanic Gardens, making it easily accessible on foot. From the Queen Street Mall, walk along George Street towards the Botanic Gardens. The House will be on your left, within the QUT Gardens Point campus. The walk is approximately 10 minutes.

Public Transport
QUT Gardens Point is well-serviced by public transport. Several bus routes stop near Old Government House, including routes 124, 175, 215 and 227. Check the Translink Journey Planner for the best route from your location. Alight at a stop on Alice or George Street and walk a short distance to the House. As of August 2024, all Translink public transport fares are a flat rate of $0.50 per journey.
