If you're traveling by car, head towards the M1 Pacific Motorway. Take the exit towards Newcastle and continue on the M1. Follow signs for the New England Highway (A43) and merge onto the A43. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach West Wallsend. Turn onto Mount Sugarloaf Road, which is well signposted. Follow this road until you reach the Mount Sugarloaf car park, where you can park your vehicle. Please note that parking may incur a small fee depending on the time of your visit.

Public Transport
To reach Mount Sugarloaf using public transport, start by taking a train from Central Coast to Newcastle Interchange. From Newcastle Interchange, catch the 66 bus towards West Wallsend. Get off at the West Wallsend stop. From there, it is a 30-minute walk to the Mount Sugarloaf car park. Follow Mount Sugarloaf Road from the bus stop until you reach the car park. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary.

If you are already in West Wallsend and prefer walking, head towards Mount Sugarloaf Road from the center of town. The walk is approximately 4 kilometers and takes about 1 hour. Follow the signs for Mount Sugarloaf as you walk. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the path can be steep in sections.
