Warrah Lookout: A Scenic Gem in New South Wales

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from your location in Central Coast and head towards Patonga. Use the Pacific Motorway (M1) if you are coming from areas like Gosford or Wyong. Once you reach the exit for the Central Coast Highway (A49), follow the signs for Woy Woy. After passing Woy Woy, continue onto Ocean Beach Road and make a left onto Patonga Drive. Follow Patonga Drive until you reach the end, where you will find parking facilities near the Warrah Lookout trailhead. The lookout is a short walk from the parking area.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from your nearest station to Woy Woy Station on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line. From Woy Woy Station, you can catch a local bus service (Route 9) that will take you to Patonga. Alight at the stop closest to Patonga Drive. From there, it is a short walk to the Warrah Lookout. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may be limited, especially on weekends.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Patonga area, you can reach Warrah Lookout by walking. The lookout is accessible via a well-marked walking trail starting from the Patonga Beach area. The trail is approximately 1.5 kilometers long and is moderately steep in some sections. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry water, as the walk can take about 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.
