    From downtown Toowoomba, walk east along Margaret Street, passing through the scenic Queen's Park towards Lindsay Street. The museum is located next to the Botanic Gardens, at the corner of Lindsay and Campbell Streets. There are no costs associated with walking.

    From the Toowoomba Bus Interchange on Neil Street, take Translink route 903 and disembark at the Bridge Street stop near the Southern Queensland TAFE College. Walk 100m east on Bridge Street and turn right onto Lindsay Street. The museum is 100m down Lindsay Street on the right. As of July 2025, public transport fares in Toowoomba are a flat rate of $0.50 AUD across all Translink services. Paper tickets can be purchased on board using cash.

    Follow the brown tourist road signs throughout Toowoomba that lead to the museum. If arriving from Brisbane, turn right at the top of the range and then turn left onto Margaret Street. Turn right onto Lindsay Street at the first roundabout. The museum is located just past Queen's Park and near the windmill display. Parking is available at the front and rear of the museum. Parking is free. There are no tolls on the immediate approach to the museum.
