Bus
From the Darwin City Centre, head to the Darwin Bus Interchange located at 69 Mitchell Street. Look for Bus 4 which heads towards Palmerston. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you are heading to Charles Darwin National Park. The bus will travel along the Stuart Highway and then take a turn onto Tiger Brennan Drive. Once you reach the park entrance, disembark at the nearest stop. The park is a short walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
Start at Darwin City Centre and head towards the Bicentennial Park, located on the waterfront. From there, follow the bike paths through the park and continue along the Esplanade towards the Stuart Highway. Once you reach the highway, turn left and cycle towards Tiger Brennan Drive. The park entrance is accessible from this road, and you will find bike racks available near the entrance.
Taxi or Rideshare
In Darwin City, you can easily hail a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber. Simply enter 'Charles Darwin National Park' or the address 'Tiger Brennan Dr, Charles Darwin NT 0820' into the app. The driver will take you directly to the park entrance. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they know the location as it is a popular destination.
Walking
If you are starting from the nearby suburbs, you can walk to the park. Head towards Tiger Brennan Drive, which is well marked. It is advisable to check a map or use a GPS-enabled device. The park entrance is approximately a 30-40 minute walk from the city center, so ensure you are prepared for a longer trek.
