Car

If you're driving from Cairns, head northeast on the Captain Cook Highway (A1). Follow the highway until you reach the intersection with Sheridan Street, then turn left onto Sheridan Street. Continue straight until you reach the Cairns Esplanade. Look for the Green Island Ferry departure point at the Reef Fleet Terminal (1 Spence Street, Cairns). The ferry ride takes approximately 45 minutes, and tickets cost around AUD 75 for adults and AUD 37.50 for children. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance as it may vary.

Public Transportation

From Cairns Central Station, you can take a public bus to the Cairns Esplanade. Look for the Sunbus routes that head to the Esplanade. Once you arrive at the Esplanade, walk toward the Reef Fleet Terminal located at 1 Spence Street. From there, board the Green Island Ferry which takes about 45 minutes to reach the island.
