  • Car

    If you're traveling by car from the Far West region, make your way to the nearest major city, which is Mount Isa. From Mount Isa, take the Barkly Highway (A2) heading east. Continue on A2 until you reach the junction with the Flinders Highway (A1) near Cloncurry. Follow the Flinders Highway north until you reach the town of Charters Towers. From Charters Towers, continue north on the A1 highway until you reach Townsville. In Townsville, take the Bruce Highway (A1) north until you reach Innisfail, then follow the signs to the Daintree National Park. Once you arrive in the Daintree region, follow the signs to the park entrances, which are well-marked.

  • Public Transportation

    For those traveling via public transportation, you can start your journey by taking a bus from Mount Isa to Townsville. Services may vary, so check with local bus companies for schedules. Once in Townsville, you can take a bus to Cairns, which is the nearest city to Daintree National Park. From Cairns, there are several shuttle services and buses that head directly to Daintree National Park. It is advisable to book these in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons.   • Combination of Car and Ferry
