Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start by heading south on Main South Road (A13) from the nearest town, such as Victor Harbor or Yankalilla. Continue on A13 until you reach the Carrickalinga turn-off, which is located just past the town of Yankalilla. Take the Carrickalinga Road exit and follow it until you reach Carrickalinga Beach. Parking is available near the beach, and there are no parking fees.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Carrickalinga Beach via public transport, catch the SouthLink bus service (route 784) from either Victor Harbor or Yankalilla. The bus usually runs every hour, so check the timetable for exact times. Disembark at the Carrickalinga stop. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the beach. Follow Carrickalinga Road until you reach the beach entrance. Note that bus fares vary, so check the SouthLink website for current prices.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, cycling to Carrickalinga Beach is a great option. If you're starting from Yankalilla, take Carrickalinga Road directly to the beach. The ride is approximately 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) and is mostly flat, making it suitable for most cyclists. Ensure your bike is in good condition and carry water for the journey.

• Walking

  If you are already in Carrickalinga, walking to the beach is a pleasant option. From the main residential area, follow Carrickalinga Road toward the beach, which is approximately 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) away. The walk is straightforward and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.
