Getting There

• By Car

  If you're driving from Victor Harbor, take the Victor Harbor Road (B37) north towards Mount Compass. After about 15 minutes, turn left onto the Main South Road (A13) and continue for approximately 20 minutes. Then, turn right onto Second Valley Road. Follow this road for about 10 minutes until you reach Second Valley Beach. Be mindful of the speed limits, and watch for any wildlife crossing the road, especially at dawn and dusk.

• By Bus

  If you're using public transportation, take the bus from Adelaide to Cape Jervis, which is serviced by the Adelaide Metro. You can board the bus at the Adelaide Central Bus Station. Once you arrive in Cape Jervis, catch the local bus towards Second Valley. The bus ride from Cape Jervis to Second Valley will take around 10-15 minutes.   For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber) from nearby towns such as Victor Harbor or Cape Jervis. Just enter 'Second Valley Beach' as your destination in the app, and the driver will take you directly there. The fare will vary depending on your pickup location, but expect to pay around AUD 30-50 from Victor Harbor.

• Cycling

  For the adventurous, cycling is a great way to reach Second Valley Beach. If you're starting from Victor Harbor, take the scenic route via the Encounter Bikeway to Port Elliot, then head towards Middleton and follow the road signs to Second Valley. It’s approximately a 30km ride, so ensure you're prepared with water and snacks.
