If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Gippsland, such as Sale or Traralgon. Head towards the Princes Highway (M1) and follow signs towards Toongabbie. Once on the M1, follow it until you reach the exit for Toongabbie. Take the exit and turn onto the Toongabbie-Taralgon Road. Continue straight until you reach However Street. Turn left onto However Street and the Ned Stringer Memorial will be on your right side. There is free parking available along the street.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a V/Line train from Melbourne to Traralgon. Once you arrive in Traralgon, transfer to a local bus service (Bus Route 19) that goes to Toongabbie. The bus will drop you off at the Toongabbie town center. From there, it is a short walk to However Street. Head northwest on Main Street, turn left onto However Street, and you will find the Ned Stringer Memorial on your right. Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can ride from Traralgon to Toongabbie. Follow the cycle paths along the Toongabbie-Taralgon Road. It is approximately a 15-kilometer ride. Once you reach Toongabbie, turn onto However Street, and the memorial will be on your right. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules. There are no costs associated with this route aside from your bicycle maintenance.
