• Car

  From your current location on the Great Ocean Road, continue heading east towards Apollo Bay. If you are coming from the west, you’ll pass through picturesque coastal towns such as Port Campbell and Peterborough. If you’re coming from Lorne to the north, simply follow the Great Ocean Road south. The total drive is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from Lorne and 1.5 to 2 hours from Port Campbell. Look for signs for Apollo Bay as you approach. Once you arrive in Apollo Bay, follow the main road until you reach the town centre, where you will find parking options available.

  If you prefer public transport, you can catch a bus from major towns along the Great Ocean Road. V/Line operates a bus service that connects Geelong and Apollo Bay. Make sure to check the V/Line timetable for departure times. The journey from Geelong takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Apollo Bay, the bus station is centrally located, allowing easy access to local attractions and amenities. Tickets can be purchased online or at the bus station, with prices varying depending on your starting point.

  For the more adventurous, cycling to Apollo Bay is an excellent way to experience the stunning scenery of the Great Ocean Road. Ensure you are prepared for a mix of coastal roads and hilly terrain. The ride from Lorne to Apollo Bay is approximately 40 kilometers and can take around 2 to 3 hours depending on your fitness level. There are dedicated bike lanes in some areas, but caution is advised on busier sections of the road.
