Walking
If you're already in Apollo Bay, walking to Marriner's Lookout is a good option. Start at the Apollo Bay Visitor Information Centre and head north on the Great Ocean Road. After about 1 kilometer, turn onto Marriners Lookout Road and follow it for about 1.5 kilometers to reach the parking area at the foot of Marriner's Lookout. From the car park, a gentle walking trail takes you to the lookout point. The walk from the car park to the lookout takes approximately 5-10 minutes. The walk from Apollo Bay is approximately 2 km uphill from the main street, so be prepared for a moderate hike. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes.

To reach Marriner's Lookout using public transport, take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Geelong. From Geelong, transfer to a bus (V/Line service) heading to Apollo Bay. Once you arrive in Apollo Bay, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Marriners Lookout Road, as public transport does not directly serve the lookout area. The taxi fare from Apollo Bay to Marriner's Lookout is approximately $15-$25 AUD. Ensure to check the V/Line website for the latest schedules and fare information.

If you're driving from Melbourne, take the M1 highway towards Geelong. Once you reach Geelong, take the B100 exit towards the Great Ocean Road. Follow the B100 along the coast until you reach Apollo Bay. Once in Apollo Bay, turn onto Marriners Lookout Road. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the parking area for Marriner's Lookout. Parking is free. From the carpark, the walk up to Marriners Lookout is about 10 minutes along a well-kept but uphill path.
