If you're traveling by car, head towards the Great Ocean Road from your current location. Follow the signs to Apollo Bay. Once you reach Apollo Bay, continue on the Great Ocean Road until you reach Johanna. Turn onto Old Coach Rd, which will lead you directly to the Great Ocean Walk starting point. Parking is available at the trailhead, and there are no fees for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a V/Line bus from Melbourne to Apollo Bay. The bus service runs several times a day. From Apollo Bay, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach Johanna. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes and will cost around AUD 60-80 depending on the provider. Once you arrive at Old Coach Rd, you will find the access point to the Great Ocean Walk.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can cycle to the Great Ocean Walk. The ride from Apollo Bay to Johanna is about 20 kilometers along the Great Ocean Road, offering stunning coastal views.
