Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving along the Great Ocean Road, continue until you reach Apollo Bay. The reserve is located at Apollo Bay VIC 3233, approximately 90 minutes from Lorne and 30 minutes from Port Campbell. Follow the signs directing you to Apollo Bay, and as you enter the town, you will see the Foreshore Reserve on your left along the coastline. Parking is available nearby, and you may need to pay for parking, which typically costs around AUD 2-5 per hour.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Apollo Bay Foreshore Reserve via public transport, take a V/Line bus from Melbourne or Geelong to Apollo Bay. The bus ride from Melbourne takes about 3-4 hours. Once you arrive at the Apollo Bay bus station, the Foreshore Reserve is a short 10-minute walk away. Head south on Great Ocean Road, turn right onto Pascoe Street, and continue towards the beach. There is no additional cost once you arrive in Apollo Bay, but make sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.

  For the adventurous, biking along the Great Ocean Road is a stunning way to reach Apollo Bay Foreshore Reserve. You can start from nearby towns like Lorne or Wye River. The ride from Lorne is approximately 30 km and will take you about 2 hours, depending on your fitness level. Once you arrive in Apollo Bay, the Foreshore Reserve is easily accessible from the bike path that runs along the coast. Ensure your bike is in good condition and be mindful of traffic.
