Car
If you are driving, start from the main visitor center at Great Sandy National Park. Head south on the Noosa River Road (Route 12) towards Tewantin. After approximately 10 km, turn right onto Tewantin's main street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Moorindil Street, then turn right. Follow Moorindil Street until it curves and becomes Doonella Street. Lake Doonella will be on your left side. There is parking available near the lake.

Public Transportation
To reach Lake Doonella via public transportation, take a bus from Noosa Heads to Tewantin. Buses run regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive at the Tewantin bus station, you can either walk or take a taxi to Lake Doonella. Walking will take approximately 20 minutes. Head southeast on Poinciana Avenue, then turn right onto Moorindil Street. Continue straight until you reach Doonella Street, where the lake is located on your left.

Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Noosa Heads and follow the same route as the car guidance. The ride to Lake Doonella is about 10 km. Once you reach Tewantin, take Moorindil Street towards Doonella Street. The cycling path is mostly flat and offers scenic views of the area. Remember to wear a helmet and follow local cycling regulations.
