Travel Guide to Orion Beach

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from the center of Jervis Bay, such as Huskisson. Head south on Owen Street until it merges with JB Avenue. Continue on JB Avenue which will take you to the end of the peninsula. As you approach the southern end, look for signs indicating Orion Beach. The beach is located just off the southern end of the peninsula, near the intersection with Beach Street. There is parking available near the beach, but be mindful of any parking fees or time restrictions.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, catch a bus from Huskisson to Vincentia. The bus service is operated by the local transport authority, and tickets can be purchased at the bus station or on the bus. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Vincentia, you can either walk or catch a local taxi to Orion Beach, which is approximately a 1.5 km walk. Follow the main road towards the beach, and look for signage directing you to Orion Beach.

• Walking

  If you're already in the vicinity of Orion Beach, walking is a great option to soak in the scenery. From Vincentia, head south on Elizabeth Drive, then turn right onto Beach Street. Continue straight, and you will reach Orion Beach after a short walk. This is a leisurely 15-20 minute walk that allows you to enjoy the coastal views.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, renting a bicycle is a fantastic way to explore the area. There are several rental shops in Huskisson. From Huskisson, take the bike path heading south along the coastline towards Vincentia. Follow the path until you reach Orion Beach. The ride is approximately 5 km and takes about 30 minutes, depending on your pace. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules.
