Car
If you're driving from Alice Springs, head west on Larapinta Drive. After approximately 18 kilometers, turn left onto the Namatjira Drive. Continue on this scenic route for about 36 kilometers until you reach the sign for Serpentine Gorge. Turn left at the sign and drive for another 5 kilometers until you arrive at the Serpentine Gorge car park. Ensure you have a map or GPS as mobile coverage may be limited in this area.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Alice Springs, take the public bus service to Glen Helen Lodge. Buses typically run a few times a day, so check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive at Glen Helen Lodge, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the additional 18 kilometers to Serpentine Gorge, as there is no public transport directly to the gorge.
Walking
If you are already at the Serpentine Gorge car park, there are several walking trails available to explore the gorge further. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and carry plenty of water, as the terrain can be rugged and the weather may be hot.
