Drive along Mandalay Ave and take a left onto Sooning St, then follow it until it merges into Picnic St. Continue on Picnic St for about 3 kilometers. The Hawkings Point Lookout will be on your left, with a parking area available nearby.

For those using public transportation, take the bus from Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal. The bus service runs regularly to Picnic Bay. Get off at the Picnic Bay stop, which is a short walk from the lookout. From the bus stop, walk along Picnic St heading towards the beach, and follow the signs to Hawkings Point Lookout. It is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill from the bus stop to the lookout.
